REFLECTION ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE AS A
PRIMARY ENGLISH TEACHER
By Jesus Galindo Zabaleta
If i would have to choose one of the best experience i ever had, surely it would be the great time i spent during my pedagogical practice in Colegio Nacional Jose Maria Cordoba-Sede Camilo La Madrid Fabra, it was really valuable as i could realize how significant is to teach children, i had worked in primary grades in a rural context, but there it was different but rewarding as well. Those talented children beacame my little friends and i am very happy to have been seen by them not only as their English but also as one friend too, i could make them feel love towards English Language so i am very pleased with this experience that i know is going to help me to be a good teacher.
Planning classes was one step that allowed me to become in a more responsible and organized person, at the beginning it seems like the planners are going to be the guide to follow during the class, but it results being more than that because the plan of the classes is the base of many aspect during the teacheing process, a good lesson plan is going to make your classes succesful; that implies some factors such as: time management, evaluation and assessment criteria, goals to be achieved, competences to develop, use of materials, and so on. I felt good preparing and planning my classes, it was a time demanding process but the results tend to be excellent if you do it with a responsible and positive attitude.
Having reflected about this remarkable experience, i just may say that it was perfect since the first day i got in the classrooms until the last day when i received lots of cards from my students like blessing, since the " hello, good morning" until the "good bye" i thank God for giving me that unforgettable chance.
