My first experiences as an english teacher
Nowadays,
to learn English has become a very essential way to success in live, but also,
to teach English is the most grateful thing that a person can do, not only
because you can put into practices what you study but also because you every
day can learn different things from your students, to have 30 or more different
though, feeling and attitudes inside of a classroom is quite of challenge and
difficult, and sometimes we can consider that to control all those people is impossible,
but the idea of being teachers is to have this capacities that other
professional cannot have, it is one of
the reasons that I chose to be an English teacher.
I
order to develop my teaching practice, I made my professional practices 1 in the institution educative José Maria Córdoba
“sede Simon bolivar”, with the 1st and 2nd grades, it
was a great experiences for my, because not only I could teach English but also
I could learn a lot of thing from my students, I realize that they really like
to learn English, the only thing that they need is to be motivated, and that
was my idea at the moment of making my lesson planes.
Before
preparing my classes I asked to my students how they would like to learn
English and they gave me a lot of answers, such as learning English through
games, and songs, after that I made a diagnosis to know how the students were in English and what were their weaknesses and strengths.
Based
on their answers I prepared my classes and it was so nice to make this, due to
I could implement new ways of teaching English, I usually taught the vocabulary
through colorful flashcards in order to catch the students attention, and
despite of the students indiscipline sometimes I implemented games in order to
change the traditional way that they usually learn English.
In
conclusion, I consider that this new ways of teaching English was very success
because I achieved all my goals stated at the beginning of my professional
practice 1.
